Rauland is one of Telemark's premier winter destinations, and Rauland Skisenter is the snow-sure family favorite that provides unforgettable skiing experiences - from beginners to experienced skiers.

FAMILY FRIENDLY

Rauland Skisenter consists of three different ski areas, each with its own unique character. Tiur and Holtardalen offer 12 lifts and 26 varied slopes, while Vierli is perfect for the little ones with its own children's lift and children's area. We have ski rental at all three of our locations, and offer ski school at Tiur for those who need guidance. Rauland Skisenter is the place where the whole family can enjoy a winter holiday filled with fun and skiing pleasure!

VIERLI - CHILDREN'S FAVORITE

At Vierli, the youngest in the family can have fun in our activity area, where the children's lift is open every weekend and daily during holidays.

The Vierli ski area is one of the children's favorites, and a cross-country skiing paradise for the whole family.

At Vierli, you will also find our spectacular snow castle, activity trail, playground, mini scooter track, saunas and much more.

CHILDREN'S AREAS

CHILDREN LOVE RAULAND

Rauland Skisenter has several nice areas adapted for the little ones and beginners in skiing. Here you will find simple and clear slopes with fun elements, ski ribbons for the little ones (Holtardalen) - and Vierli also has its own children's area with activities such as mini scooters on the track, sledding, snow castles and much more.

WINTER FUN

Besides skiing, you can also experience activities such as dog sledding, sledding and not least fast-paced activities such as snowmobiling in white highland landscapes. Vinje has great recreational areas for snowmobiling and Rauland Adventure offers rentals and snowmobiling safaris for groups.

FAMILY ORIENTED

TRADITIONAL SKI RUNNING

Rauland Skisenter has fun family activities such as ski racing with and without timekeeping, and a number of events related to the winter and Easter holiday weeks. Break your own slalom records in Rugdebakken or play with jumps and fun park elements.

Rauland Skisenter is located in Vinje in Telemark, a short drive to/from Rjukan, Høydalsmo, Seljord and other places in Telemark. You can get here by bus or car, about 30 minutes from Rjukan, 2.5 hours from Porsgrunn, and Rauland is conveniently located "middle" between east and west if you are coming from east or west Norway.

FRom OSLO

From Oslo, follow the E18 to Drammen, then the E134 via Kongsberg and Notodden - to the FV37 which takes you past Rjukan and on to Rauland. The journey takes about 3 hours.

You can also drive via Siljan and Skien and follow the Rv36 past Gvarv and Seljord, which takes about 1 hour extra.

From BERGEN

Rauland is located in Vinje and "middle" between east and west in Southern Norway. The journey from Bergen - Rauland takes about 5 hours and goes via Norheimsund and Odda, further past Røldal and Haukeli.

Alternatively, you can fly to OSL Torp and drive from here to Rauland, a drive of about 2.5 hours via Porsgrunn, Gvarv and Seljord.
