Skisenter

Your nearest mountain

  • Two ski areas with slopes for the whole family.
  • Winterland – a separate area ideal for children and beginners.
  • 80 kilometers of cross-country ski trails – many of them in beautiful high mountain terrain 1000-1100 meters above sea level
  • Lifjellparken - many jumps, railings and pipes mean that most people will find something suitable for their skill level.
  • Only 12 kilometers to the commercial center of Bø with all kinds of shops, restaurants, cinema, swimming pool, etc.

Short distance

Lifjell is your closest high mountain whether you come from the central East Iceland area or from the continent by ferry from Denmark (only 90 km from Larvik mainly in
lowland terrain)

Safe and family-friendly

Lifjell is not the largest ski resort, but it has a good, varied and family-friendly offer that suits all skill levels. Here you can safely let the children ski on the slopes on their own without worrying about them getting lost. Our ski area Vinterland is absolutely perfect for beginners and smaller children.

Snow-sure high mountain terrain

Lifjell has more than 20 mountain peaks that are more than 1100 meters above sea level – the highest ones up to 1300 meters above sea level. A ski trip to Hollane, which is located in idyllic surroundings 9 km from the Jønnbu parking lot, is a must if you prefer peace and quiet, white mountain peaks and a freshly baked waffle or a bowl of hot soup in the middle of the mountain. You can also get to Hollane by Snowcat (Weasel) – a unique and unusual experience in the mountains.

CHILDREN'S WINTERLAND

ALL CHILDREN'S AND BEGINNERS' FAVORITE

In Lifjell Vinterland, thousands of children and young people have learned to ski or snowboard. A simple 350-meter saucer lift and a slightly challenging 400-meter downhill run are an eldorado for those who are learning to ski or are not very experienced. Here we offer skilled ski instructors for both alpine and snowboarding. We are also building a simple snow park with fun elements that most people can try. If you need a break and something to eat, we have a cozy cafeteria with both food and drinks.
