Norway's largest snow castle, Vierli - Rauland
ShapeCrew has built Norway’s largest snow castle at Vierli — a towering 6.5 metres high and covering more than 600 square metres. Here, both children and adults can run free, play, sled and explore a whimsical snow structure that invites adventure under the open sky. The snow castle is located just below Vierli Cafeteria in Rauland and is specially designed as a safe and fun playground for children of all ages.
Experience exceptional, world-class skiing from Gaustatoppen
The summit tour starts at Langefonn or take the Gaustabanen in 15 minutes. From Gaustatoppen 1883 m above sea level you can follow a clearly marked trail down Langefonn, or challenging steep chutes that will delight the advanced skier. Please note that the trails are off-piste and are done at your own risk.
Unique Weaseltour in Lifjell
Experience the Lifjell high mountains with a unique weasel trip to Hollane seter, 9 km from Jønnbu. Enjoy peace, white mountain peaks, and enjoy freshly baked waffles or hot soup at the seter. You can stay overnight at Hollane or get off at 1100 m and ski the last leg. Departures Saturdays and Sundays, as well as every day during the winter and Easter holidays.
Powder ski in Haukeli
Experience fantastic powder skiing at Haukelifjell, where deep snow conditions and varied terrain provide optimal experiences for ski enthusiasts. The slopes offer both free skiing and groomed trails for all levels, while the snow-covered mountainside offers unforgettable off-piste opportunities. Perfect for those seeking adrenaline-filled trips and the best snow conditions of the winter - Haukelifjell is a powder paradise for all skiers.
Toboggan ride in evening light
Vrådal Panorama offers tobogganing at the Lille Petter lift and slope. An area with lights and music provides maximum fun in the snow without skis in the evening. Toboggan rentals are specially made for the lift, and the slope is open for tobogganing Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Helmets and goggles are provided for a safe experience.
Snowmobile safari with Rauland Adventure
Join a snowmobile safari with Rauland Adventure! The trip starts in the center of Rauland and lasts approx. 3 hours, including training and breaks. Safety is a high priority - all participants receive individual training and assessment before departure. Before the trip starts, a rental contract is signed by everyone who will drive a snowmobile. Don't go to Svalbard when you can go to Rauland!
